APPLICATION REQUIREMENT -- EFFECTIVE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR
Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, all scholarship
applicants will be required to have served a minimum of 10 hours of volunteer
time in the concession stand either personally or through proxy (there is no
limitation to whom that proxy can be) for each year that they have been a part
of the Northwest Music Program.
Due to this requirement being effective for 2018 forward,
this year’s seniors are required to have 10 hours; this year’s Juniors will
need to have completed 20 hours of volunteer time in the concessions stand upon
graduation in 2020; Sophomores 30 hours upon graduation in 2021 and freshmen 40
hours upon graduation in 2022 (this will apply to any future incoming freshmen
Since we know that everyone gets busy, it will be acceptable
for these hours to be earned at any time over
the course of the student’s term at Northwest. (Our data reaches as far back as December 1,
2016.)To qualify for review, volunteer
hours need to be completed by April 1st of the scholarship
